1. Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are. Visit our ‘Contact Us’ tab to book or ask our team any questions in the meantime!
2. Do you treat patients with dental anxiety or fear?
We see a large variety of patients with dental anxiety ranging from mild to severe. Simply let our staff know so that we can ensure that you are provided with a calming atmosphere tailored to your needs. We have televisions, calming music and the option of mild sedation if needed.
3. Do you treat children?
Yes, we love to see children at our dental office. We suggest bringing them in within 6 months after their first tooth has erupted. At their first appointment we will look at his or her mouth, review any concerns you may carry, discuss how to care for primary teeth as well as healthy habits for oral development. Do not worry if your child is not willing or wanting us in their mouth at this visit. We understand children need to build trust and comfortability so increased exposure to the dental office is important.
4. Do I need to have x-rays taken?
Our office uses digital x-rays which greatly reduces your exposure to radiation. X-rays are required to provide a complete and thorough examination to diagnose things such as decay, abscesses, issues with your wisdom teeth, as well as other oral pathologies you may not otherwise be aware of. We provide patients with a lead apron and follow strict guidelines to provide safe and effective radiation.
5. Do you accept dental insurance?
We accept many forms of insurance. We can direct bill to your provider on your behalf and receive payment directly from your company.
6. Will insurance cover my dental treatment?
Due to privacy guidelines, we do not have direct access to your personal insurance agreement between you and your provider. We suggest you contact your insurance company to obtain information on what is covered before your visit. For major treatments we send a preauthorization to your insurance and find out what will be covered prior to having the treatment completed.
7. What are your fees?
Our fees follow the Saskatchewan Dental Fee Guide provided by the College of Dental Surgeons of Saskatchewan which is updated annually.
8. How often should I visit the dentist?
You should visit your dentist every six months at a minimum. However, there are a variety of reasons why this timeline may change. You can discuss your frequency of scheduling visits with your dentist and dental hygienist at your next visit in more detail.
9. Is it important to have regular dental cleanings?
At your dental cleanings you receive a deep clean that cannot otherwise be achieved. While brushing and flossing at home is very important, it does not effectively remove hardened plaque buildup that can lead to gum disease. It also allows your dentist to detect signs of wear, decay, or oral cancer.
10. How often should I change my toothbrush?
It is recommended to change your toothbrush every three months. If you are sick, it is important to replace your toothbrush once you have recovered.
11. Do you offer Invisalign?
Yes, we offer Invisalign treatment for simple orthodontic cases and work closely with Regina Orthodontic Group if your orthodontic needs surpass what we can accomplish at our office. Our consultations are free.
