A bridge is a tooth replacement option when a patient is missing one or multiple teeth in an area of their mouth. Dental crowns are placed on the teeth neighbouring the space, and a floating tooth is attached to these crowns filling the space. This is then cemented into the mouth and is not removeable so oral hygiene is very important. The bridge is typically made of a ceramic material so that it can restore function with optimal aesthetic. This procedure cannot be used to replace all missing teeth and is best if the teeth on either side of the space have existing fillings or crowns. A comprehensive examination would need to be completed by our team to determine whether you are a good candidate for this treatment.
