Dental Implants

A dental implant is a titanium cylinder that is surgically placed into the jawbone and replaces the root or roots of a missing tooth. They are the gold standard in tooth replacement and allow the integrity of the neighbouring teeth to be maintained as they do not need to be prepared like a dental bridge. After the cylinder is placed, a crown is then placed on top of the dental implant, restoring tooth function with optimal aesthetics that are indistinguishable from your natural tooth structure. Dental implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, or in a case where there are no natural teeth remaining.
