Dental Crowns

Crowns, commonly known as ‘caps’, are placed over top of a tooth to protect the tooth structure underneath that may become weakened due to the presence of a fracture, a large filling, an old filling or after root canal treatment. They can also be placed for cosmetic reasons to change the appearance of a tooth, such as the shape, size and colour. Crowns can be made from a variety of materials, most commonly porcelain or plastic materials. They are natural looking, strong and can be made to match your existing tooth-structure or to change your teeth into the smile you wish for.
